Class preparation
List the languages learners hear at home or in the community. Explain that every language deserves respect and that one language may have regional varieties.
Home investigation
Ask a trusted fluent speaker for: a morning greeting, a respectful greeting to an elder and the correct response. Record the language name, the words and who verified them. Do not guess spellings or meanings.
Class sharing
Create a greeting wall. Learners present one verified greeting and its response, then compare when different greetings are used without ranking one language above another.
The complete classroom pack
The Pro project adds an interview sheet, audio-recording guidance, a language-map activity and a respectful assessment rubric.
