Planning frame
Setting: Which Cameroon market and what time? Characters: Who went? Purpose: What did they need? Event: What surprising or difficult thing happened? Ending: How was it resolved?
Useful language
Sequence words: first, shortly afterwards, meanwhile, suddenly, finally. Sensory words: crowded, colourful, smoky, noisy, fresh, spicy.
Writing task
Write 120–150 words about a memorable market day. Use paragraphs, at least four sequence words and one line of dialogue. Reread for capital letters, punctuation and tense.
